Parents and supporters, if you would like to be more involved with the EVHS soccer program, join us Wednesday, February 4 at 6:30pm in the Lecture Hall for our Booster Club meeting. All parents are invited and encouraged to attend.
Please consider helping out in the concession stand before or after your player’s game this season. Concessions is the primary source of revenue for the booster club and the booster club provides support to coaches to purchase extra uniforms, equipment, and gear and other “nice to haves” for our EVHS soccer players. Please look for opportunities to help out using the Volunteer Spot link below and sign up. Volunteers also enjoy free admission to all the games that night!

East View Soccer Supporters
This coming Thursday through Saturday (Jan 15-17), East View will be co-hosting the Governor’s Cup Men’s Soccer Tournament. This popular pre-district tournament attracts many of the top High School teams from around the state (including our EV Men). Each team will play 3 “friendly” games to prepare for the start of district play. This year’s Men’s Governors cup features 32 teams and 48 games. 17 of the games will be played at East View Stadium over the three days.
The tournament is a significant fundraiser for the East View Soccer as revenue from concessions and gate fees go directly back to the soccer program. Like any successful fundraiser, however, there is a need for volunteers to pitch in and contribute time and energy.
For this weekend’s games at East View, we are in need of volunteers to work the concession stand (2-3 per shift) and to work as a gate attendant (1-2 persons per shift). Games run from 12:00 to 9:30 pm on Thursday and 9:00 am to 8:30 pm on Friday and Saturday (see schedule below)
Jennifer Soto is coordinating volunteers for concessions and has set up a schedule of 2 hour shifts on her Volunteer Spot page (link below). and Mike Vandergriff will be serving as EV site coordinator and coordinating volunteers to work as gate attendants and other roles. Volunteers gain free admittance to the full day of games at both the EV and GHS sites.
If you can ‘t help this weekend, there will be additional opportunities next weekend as we Co-Host the Ladies’ Governor’s cup. Any assistance you could provide would be greatly appreciated by players, coaches, and all that benefit from the success of the tournament.
